Section 9
Tasks, Duties and Powers of the Council
The tasks, duties and powers of the Council shall be as follows:-
(a) Prepare and implement necessary policies, plans and programs for conducting the pharmacy business in a systematic and scientific manner.
(b) To recognize educational institutions that conduct pharmacy business studies and the certificates and degrees provided by such institutions.
(c) To determine the standards related to the curriculum, conditions of admission and examination system of educational institutions offering pharmacy business studies, and to request the necessary details regarding whether the prescribed standards have been maintained or not, and to withdraw the recognition of certificates and degrees provided by educational institutions that do not maintain quality by completing the prescribed process. .
(d) To determine the necessary qualifications for doing pharmacy business and to register the names of pharmacists and pharmacy assistants who have completed the prescribed qualifications in the registration book of the Council as prescribed.
(e) If registered pharmacists and pharmacy assistants violate or do not comply with the prescribed code of professional conduct, after completing the prescribed procedures, remove the names of such pharmacists and pharmacy assistants from the register.
